Kambi 2011 ਵਿੱਚ ਕਨੇਡਾ ਆਇਆ ਸੀ, ਜਿਸ ਨੇ ਦਿਨ ਰਾਤ ਮਿਹਨਤ ਅਤੇ ਸੰਘਰਸ਼ ਕੀਤੀ ਕਰਕੇ ਆਪਣੀ ਪੜ੍ਹਾਈ ਜਾਰੀ ਰੱਖੀ। ਪਰ ਅੱਜ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਵਕੀਲ ਦੀ ਇਕ ਗਲਤੀ ਕਾਰਨ ਉਸ ਨੂੰ  ਪੰਜਾਬ ਵਾਪਸ ਪਰਤਨਾ ਪਿਆ । ਕੈਨੇਡਾ ਵਿੱਚ ਗਾਇਕੀ ਦਾ ਸ਼ੌਂਕ ਪੂਰਾ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਦੇਖਿਆ ਪਰ ਉਸਦਾ ਸੁਪਨਾ ਟੁੱਟਦਾ ਜਾਪ ਰਿਹਾ ਹੈ।
ਕੈਂਬੀ ਫੁੱਟਬਾਲ ਦਾ ਕਾਫੀ ਸ਼ੌਕੀਨ ਸੀ। ਡਰੌਪ ਲੈ ਕੇ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਆਪਣੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਫੀਸ ਪੂਰੀ ਕੀਤੀ ਉਸ ਨੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਕਮਾਣ ਲਈ ਜੂਆ ਖੇਡਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤਾ ਤੇ ਜੂਏ ‘ਚ ਤਕਰੀਬਨ ਉਸ ਨੇ 35 ਹਜ਼ਾਰ ਡਾਲਰ ਗੁਆ ਲਏ। ਜਿਸ ਦਾ ਸਿੱਟਾ ਉਸ ਦੇ ਕੋਲ ਰੋਟੀ ਖਾਣ ਦੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਵੀ ਨਾ ਬਚੇ।
ਇਸ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਮੈਂ ਡਬਲ-ਡਬਲ ਸ਼ਿਫਟਾਂ ਲਾ ਕੇ ਟਰੱਕ ਵਾਸ਼ ਕਰਦਾ ਸੀ ਤਾਂ ਕੀ ਮੈਂ ਅਗਲੇ ਸਮੈਸਟਰ ਦੇ ਪੈਸੇ ਇੱਕਠੇ ਕਰ ਲਵਾਂ। ਇਸ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ ਹੀ ਮੈਂ ਛੋਟੀ-ਮੋਟੀਆਂ ਪਾਰਟੀਆਂ ‘ਚ ਗਾਉਣਾ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕੀਤਾ ਤੇ ਗੀਤ ਲਿਖਣੇ ਸ਼ੁਰੂ ਕਰ ਦਿੱਤੇ।ਵਕੀਲ ਨੇ ਮੇਰੀ ਗਲਤ ਫੀਸ ਭਰੀ, ਜਿਸ ਕਾਰਨ ਅੱਜ ਮੈਂ ਇਸ ਹਲਾਤ ‘ਚ ਹਾਂ
